Becoming A Christian

Saved through Faith

As a Christian you are claiming to be a follower of Jesus Christ. So how does someone become a Christian? The Gospel is the Good News of Jesus Christ and salvation is available to everyone.

Becoming a Christian is as easy as ABC.

A- Admit

The first step to becoming a Christian is admitting that you are a sinner. You may be wandering, I am not really a bad person why do i need to be saved? The Bible tells us that we have all sinned (Romans 3:23). The truth is, we are born into sin (Psalm 51:5). The reason for this is because of the fall of humanity when Adam and Eve first sinned. Sin entered the world through one human and because of that we are in need of a savior (Romans 5:12).

B- Believe

We must believe in Jesus as the Son of God. Jesus was born of a virgin and entered the world so that he could provide salvation to all who believe (John 3:16). The Bible tells us that Jesus is the only way we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We must believe that Jesus was the Son of God, He died for our sins, and He rose again on the third day. Everyone who calls on the name of Jesus will be saved.

C- Confess

We must confess our sins before God admitting that we realize we are a sinner. We must ask God to forgive us for our sins and ask God to save us. The Bible assures us that if we confess our sins and ask God to save us, we shall surely be saved (Romans 10:9).

Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite you to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow you as my Lord and Savior.
